The 1.5-litre TSI Evo petrol engine made its debut in the Golf in 2017 and is now being rolled out across the range.
Volkswagen has said that it's aware of a possible fault with its 1.5-litre petrol engine - and not ruled out a possible recall that could affect thousands of cars in the UK.
Volkswagen acknowledges problem with 1.5 TSI Evo engine. Cons: Base plate not flat: I was hoping for a flat base plate as this is their "heavy duty" (most expensive) model. The blade that it comes with is decent for most mild steel. The handle to carry which is separate from the trigger handle is a nice touch. 
The locking pin vs the old chain is better overall. I've compared the Evo X and WRX STI in person, the Subaru has way more features inside along with factory digital boost gauge, screen & backup cam, along. If you want to settle for an automatic, the MR trim offers a nice screen on the dash, but you sacrifice the race car essence, which is probably the entire reason you're buying this car.
